Once Around The Block

The vehicle changed. The destination didn't. The people were always the reason.

Once Around The Block began as a journey to see America from the sky. But somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't simply interested in seeing America. I wanted to understand it—to hear the stories of the people who make it what it is, share a few of my own, and discover what we still have in common.

The journey was first imagined from the sky—a way to see America from a perspective few people ever experience.

But the more I thought about the journey, the more I realized that seeing America wasn't enough.

I wanted to meet America.

So I brought the journey back to the road.

The GT40 gets people's attention.
But attention isn't the destination.

The real journey begins when someone rolls down a window, walks over, or sits down across from me and says, 

“So... what are you doing?”

That's where the stories begin.

I'll be looking for people willing to share something of their lives—where they've been, what they've learned, what they've lost, what they hope for, and what keeps them going.

The car gets me around the block.

The people are the journey.

I'm not looking for famous people.

I'm looking for people who have lived.

The farmer who's spent his life working the same ground.
The waitress who knows half the town by name.
The veteran carrying memories he rarely talks about.
The young person wondering what comes next.
The family that's stayed in one place for generations—and the one that's just beginning again somewhere new.

Different lives. Different roads. Different stories.

But somewhere in those stories, I believe we'll find the things that still connect us.
